Okay, so let's talk about samyazaz
I met Samyazaz, when I signed up for Podtogether back 2013, a few weeks after I posted my first couple of podfics. xD The beginning of me rejoining fandom outside of lurking. xD Anyway, Samy was SUPER wonderful, and wrote me a super amazing Merlin fic... (which was the FIRST Merlin fic I'd ever recorded.) And like introduced me to Les Mis fanfics. xD Lay Your Hands On Me (story) (HERE is the Podfic just in case lol) was the FIRST Les Mis podfic I ever did, My one of my favorites because R is a violinist! And the music Samy had picked out for the story was ABSOLUTELY amazing. And I had a lot of fun playing with it.

She is just such a wonderful writer, crafter, PERSON. I'm just super glad to have met her and been friends with her for this past year and a half. xD She's helped me with my TERRIBLE French, and all the difficult names in the Les Mis fandom, and by listening through all of my Les Mis pods for me before I post them. xD Any way she's super awesome and if you haven't read her stuff DO IT. ALL OF IT. ALLLLLL OF IT. Her Ao3 is here. She rocks, and all that jazz!! <3

So okay, NEW and not really NEW, cuz they were both in fandoms I've done before but I participated in PodfIDIC, and kinda wrote and recorded words I wrote, and OMG it was so hard to decide whether or not I was gonna ACTUALLY do it. And then I did, and now I'm all flustered about it, but I think it totally counts as doing this thing! ^_^ Cuz it was new to me, to write n record something.... STRANGE UNUSUAL NESS...

Always surprising, though it shouldn't be, is how AWESOME a lot of people in fandom are. Be it 12 years ago, or today. xD Like all of you authors, fellow podficcers, artists, all of you! You are just amazing, and so creative. And just so wonderful. xD I've made so many great friends (even in just the past year and half since I've been back and ACTIVE in fandom.) Just all of you amazing people it's great. :D

How did I come to fandom??

Okay, so I was in a French class in 9th Grade, and it was a terrible pointless class, where the teacher was gone most of the time, and we watched A LOT of Disney movies in English. xD Anyway, I had a group of friends who would bring in these printed out HP fanfiction, and it just kinda progressed from there. That was like... oh lord, um 12 years ago? Yeah, 12 years ago ish. It was GREAT. xD Um shortly after that I started writing, which there are like 2 places where stuff I've written is still on the internet, as well as on my external hard drive, since I just can't give it up. I dunno even know what was going on in most of them. xD ANYWAY, yeah so reading to writing to lurking. Once I stopped writing I started lurking, and reading, and just super enjoying fanfiction in my spare time. XD Then a year and half ago I listened to my first podfic, and I was in love, and then I got a mic, and I started recording... and that is the short rambly story of how I came to be in fandom. \o/

How did I get my fannish name?

I actually took the first name of a character from a book I was reading at the time, and the last name of a character from another book I was reading... and then I had Rose Creighton... XD Which is shortened to RsCreighton on most sights I'm on. :D *points* Boring story, haha.

Do you have more than one secret identity?

I did! 12 years ago, but I don't even think I can remember what it was. xD It was a long time ago.

Okay, so let's talk about my creative process:

So I have this habit of picking up really long stories to record. Because I dunno, I tend to read long stories before I read the shorter ones, which is just how it happens with me for some reason, I don't know why. Anyway, I like to take the chosen story, and break down into bits. For example: I was working on Make Your Home in Me by samyazaz which has a word count of 73,180, split into like 18 chapters. I'll take each chapter and split it up into scenes.

Like that *points* Then I'm have a general idea of how long each little scene will take, and I can record what I can whenever I have the time to do so. I keep a handwritten list, as well as an excel spreadsheet, to keep track of what I get done when. XD

My lists are kinda what keeps me going? Like, I dunno, it's like proof that I'm actually getting stuff done. I'm not just... reading and getting nothing done, lol. Keeps me in check, and I always know where I am and what I need to get done. And it helps me plan my recording evenings. I <3 my lists. xD

If I get blocked I tend to just... attempt to power through. It doesn't always work, half the time powering through ends with me staring at my mic, and wondering why can't I do the thing?I was able to do the thing yesterday. Just... do it... Or I'll switch projects. I tend to have more than one project going on at a time. Which, when I first started like a year n a half ago I would never have attempted, but I am SO much more organized now... most of the time... ((like I said LISTS))

I fail at making podart, unless I'm super inspired about it during the recording process, which I have a couple of pods still in progress that have art because I was inspired to do it. So unless someone pushes me for it (AND gives me all the ideas, I'm talkin' to you dancinbutterfly lol) half the time I don't do it. xD

Yup so my lists keep me going man. All the lists. I dunno, it's weird and strange but I love it haha. <3 Okay, wow this was ranty and probably not very informative. I'm so sorry. xD Thanks for reading it? I guess. *hides under things*
